5th Birthday Party

Today was the big day and it couldn't have went better. We had an absolutely perfect day so we had the entire party outside. The kids played in the yard and had a great time. All of Bella's friends are such good kids, well behaved with great manners. She got some really nice gifts and said she had a "great party." Here are a few photos and I'll do a couple more posts to get them all in.

Bella's Big Day

Today was Bella's first day of A-K and she did so great. She got right on the bus and sat across from a friend from pre-school. I drove to the school and she was already settled in her classroom playing with play-doh when I got there. She skipped down the hall and showed me that she put her jacket and backpack away in her locker. I was so thrilled that she was doing so well that I didn't even cry! We are beyond proud of her and know she will do so well this year. She came home and told me that she had fun at school, so we can't ask for much more than that!

Last weekend

We finally got to try out the new tube and it was a blast! The kids loved it, but I think they liked it just as much when Todd sat on our dock and let them float in it and then pulled them in with the rope. Bella taught Jack to stand up and jump in the tube, and then he immediately did a nosedive into the water. But daddy saved him and he went right back in and was all smiles.

We're back

We're back from a week at the cabin. We had tons of fun and the kids got to do a lot of swimming. The weather couldn't have been better. Bella can jump off the pontoon all by herself and Jack can swim by himself (in his jacket) for a little bit before going under. They have both come so far this summer :)
